The current on-boarding process is complicated and has friction that prospects encounter in the trial flow which presents a negative image in the beginning. The existing trial activation was 2.5%. The goal of this project is create a delightful experience in Tableau Online's on-boarding process and improve the trial activation rate.

SOLUTION
Based on the research findings and design principals, the key solutions were to use simplicity and easy of use to create the new designs. Have changed the activation flow to put the user right into the trial account instead of going back and forth with different system to verify. Once user has tried the trial, the next logging in experience they can activate the account. This flow has improved the trial flow significantly.
